I've heard this song on the radio before but never really paid any particular attention to it. Then just now, I happened upon it on YouTube (since I'm highly jobless :p). I read the lyrics while listening to the song and that was when the honest, raw emotion of the song hit me - it really is a pretty darn good song :) And which incidentally was written by the singer with reference to Sarah Jessica Parker of SATC fame (whom this Joshua dude dated for awhile)!

So, crappy 90s-style music video and weird tarzan-esque hairstyle aside, do give the song a listen if you haven't already.

Dr. Charles Teo

He sounds like an awesome guy - Just yesterday, I stumbled upon a book written about him in Borders about how he successfully operated on a brain tumour in a 26 year old concert pianist's head. He's based in Sydney.

He's had similar success with lots of his patients... Though most of the time his operation only helps to prolong their life and not cure them of the cancer completely. Still, it's an extension of their LIFE. That must certainly count for something.

I'm so glad that there are people like him in this world :)

The Melbourne Shuffle

Yeah, I know.
What???

Well, someone I was talking to mentioned a rave party and since I didn't know exactly what people do at raves, I decided to check it out on Wikipedia. The link is here. Just if you want to know also la :)

Then, I noticed that the article mentions the Melbourne Shuffle and though I'd heard of it before and seen shufflers walking in their baggy pants on the Melbourne streets, I didn't know exactly what the shuffle looked like. So I looked for it on YouTube...



That's like a beginner's guide to doing the Melbourne Shuffle... Apparently la. I don't know how correct it is, but judging from the number of views it has, it's probably quite accurate...?

So yeah, for those of you who didn't know, that's the Melbourne Shuffle. Don't expect me to be doing it though!! I'll save my shuffling for the privacy of my bedroom :p

My sister told me about this song. And it's soooo nice!! Go download! It's called 'The Show' by Lenka... Weird name. Go figure :p

How Cool Is This?

I was flipping through the Times newspaper (yes, the British one :p) and accidentally found an article about this dude. He's apparently 1/4 Japanese and 3/4 African American and he's a huge hit in Japan!

I must say that his voice is pretty good :p But I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a 'fan'. I just find it interesting.

Me Playing Gershwin

After a lot of practice, well not very successful practising, I present you my version of Gershwin's Prelude I. It really is the best I could get it, yet there are so many mistakes and the tempo isn't very consistent :( boo hoo!
