As One Chapter Comes To An End...

Wow!! Looking back at this semester, I really can't even begin to comprehend how time managed to go by so quickly! I still feel as if it was only 2 weeks ago that O-week started and I was still bubbly and carefree and assignment-free and gray hair-free :p Lol, ok stopping now :)

But yeah, I think this semester has been a really 'interesting?' one for me. I've learned a lot of new things - things that have broadened my mind and opened my eyes. It wasn't always a smooth ride, but I enjoyed and cherished every moment of it nonetheless. I can say that I have grown more in these past few months than I had in the whole of last year... Weird, huh?

I'm learning to make decisions, take charge, adapt - in a nutshell, I'm learning how to grow up. I'm not as naive as I used to be (though still pretty gullible :p). I'm working on it :p

So yeah, I'm glad that this semester happened when it did and the way it did. Right now, I'm just looking forward to finishing my darn exams and going back home!!! :D

I have a feeling this blog is dying... slowly... :(
I really want to keep it going but I can't pinpoint what it is that has made me stop posting as frequently as I used to... Hhmmm...

Even my past few notes have been short and random and practically pointless (yes, I AM aware of how pointless they are :p). That is about all that I can manage at the moment given how busy uni life if getting. Hopefully I'll be able to write better posts during the holidays... :)

Oh and while I'm writing this, I may as well mention this short story that I read recently by Isaac Asimov called 'The Last Question'. It's a sci-fi story. The ending is... interesting... READ IT! Here is the link:

Feel free to tell me what you think of it! :D

The Sun'll Come Out!!!

Yep, after what seemed like a million days without the sun... There were clear skies today!! And the sun was shining and the birds were singing (they really were!) and I felt HAPPY :D Yes, bright sunny days make me feel happy.

So here are the lyrics for 'Tomorrow' from 'Annie' because, it's a nice song and it's stuck in my head too :p

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!

I love my life. Ups and downs and all. I like how I'm learning something new everyday.

Iron Man

I watched Iron Man with some friends yesterday and it was a pretty good movie. I wasn't very impressed, but that could be because I was feeling really and hungry and all I could think of was food!! Or it could have been the fact that it reminded me of 'Transformers', 'Fantastic Four' and all those kinds of movies which to me are getting old fast. My friends all thought it was an amazing movie though so I must be the weird one :p

I Love This Song!

It's the song for the Saab ad that they show on (Aussie) TV.
It's called 'Release Me' by this band called 'Oh Laura'...
Yeah, weird band name. Totally!!

I like both the tune and the lyrics. Enjoy!

I SAW HAIL TODAY!!!
For the first time in my life :D Yeah, I know that you'r probably thinking "What planet is she from?". Well, it's called Kuala Lumpur :p

This is how unprepared I was mentally to see hail:
I was in uni and IESS had set up a booth to advertise our Annual Ski Trip when it started to drizzle. So we moved to a spot just inside the entrance of the main engineering building. Then it started to 'rain' more heavily. As I was looking at the rain, I remember thinking, "why are the raindrops boucing so high off the ground?" then I realised that these raindrops were WHITE and SOLID... And then only did I realise that it was hailing!!! Pretty cool stuff, huh? :p

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

YES!! I got to be part of the live studio audience in the popular Aussie gameshow, 'Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?'.

It was a great experience! Even though I thought we were going to be late because we missed our tram (the tram dude didn't stop at the tramstop that we were waiting at! Ggrrr...) and we had to walk a bit and even had some problems finding a cab. We finally found one at 5.45 pm and we were supposed to be at the recording studio by 6 :s Yes, I sort of freaked out a little. But in the end, we got there exactly at 6 pm and started queing up to go into the studio.

So after like a gazillion queues, well to be honest there were ONLY 3 queues that we had to go through.. God knows why, we were finally seated in the audience. We had pretty good seats, 3rd row from the front - I think I might even have been caught on camera! :p

Anyway, Rove was really funny as usual. And the 5th grade kids were so cute!! The best part came when they had started recording and were announcing the participants. It turned out that Hamish and Andy were up first!! (Go google them if you don't know who they are...) But yeah, they were really funny too!! I was pretty excited by then. It was a double bonus!

After they were done with their round though, the next person up was pretty boring, and she got on my nerves. I swear, she took nearly 10 minutes to decide on an answer for one of the questions! Aaarggh (= =)!!

So yeah, that was the highlight of my day yesterday. I'm glad I got to experience being a part of that show. Maybe I can be in the studio audience for more shows to come? ;)
