All the boys and all the girls are begging to...

Ok, so I don't usually post many things from my personal life because I like my privacy. But I have this song that's stuck in my head and it's sooo annoying, but (scarily) I like it! :s

Yeah, so how did I find out about it?
Read the wall-to-wall I had with my friend, bel bel, on facebook:

bel:
herro! did you know that the latest britney single is called "if you seek amy". try saying that very quickly and in a sort of upbeat way. HAHA.

me:
omg, i'm listening to the song now... so squeaky!! blergh... you listen to britney spears?

me:
zomg bel!
i think i'm starting to like that song... it's catchy in a weird way... :s
am i going crazy??

love me hate me say whatcha want about me...
all the girls and all the boys are begging to if you seek amy

bel:
are you horny?

me:
o_O
is that what it means?
that song is soo stuck in my head... :s
decipher it for me you lit freak!
pweasseee...

bel:
just say "if you seek amy" over and over again. omg i can't believe you still haven't heard it in the song!!
>.< hint: eff....you.....c.....k....mee...

__________________________________________________________________

SO YEAH... Now I know what it means :s
But hey, I must give it credit for being a catchy song. and the little disguised "if you seek amy" is quite clever... :p Though at first I thought that Amy was a real person and the boys and girls were really seeking her, albeit with wrong grammar.

Hehe.
That's me! My processor is slowwww.... :p

Not a great song for kids to be listening to. I wonder if they'll be playing it on Malaysian radio anytime soon... if ever. For the sake of the innocence of our Malaysian kiddies, I hope they don't! I don't think I'd be very comfortable with the idea of my 10 year old cousin singing "all the boys and all the girls are begging to if you seek amy".

o_O

For those who want to listen to the whole song, the YouTube link is here.

And for those of you who're as slow (or as naive :p) as me and still haven't figured it out, I will make it plain and simple for you...

No, I changed my mind. Just read the little dialogue above over and over again until you get it. Hah!

Go Out, Have Fun, Be Happy!

So the past three or four days have been pretty boring and uneventful for me. (Ow! I stubbed my toe on the computer table :s) But back to what I was saying... It's been boring. I hardly went out except for the odd driver job (UNPAID job) to pick my sister up from tuition/school or to buy food. The rest of my time was spent by aimlessly surfing the web (yeah, like people do things like that anymore... I was REALLY bored), angrily banging out a tune or two (or THREE) on the piano, continuously flipping between channels on Astro, perfecting my ability to apply eyeliner (again, I was THAT bored) and between them all, kind of like an interval, pacing restlessly up and down the living room. Yeah, LOVE my life... Meh.

So while I was doing all this, I was in a constant state of frustration and restlessness (though I controlled it very well) and the only unfortunate recipients of my pent up frustration and restlessness were my dad and sister. Coz I figured, I'm family - they can't be annoyed at me forever... :p

And then today, I WENT OUT! Hehe. Yeah, I went out with 2 friends just for a little catch-up session at One Utama. And then I walked about on my own, walked around the supermarket, bought the things I need to make sushi and basically just had a nice little outing. Yayy!!

Seriously, I thought that I was going to bite my fingers off out of pure and utter boredom. BOREDOM I tell you. But thanks to today, I am just a little more sane again :p

:p :p :p

Soooo, the moral of my little (and I hope not too long-winded) story issss... When you feel like you're about to explode due to a looong period of inactivity, make an effort to GO OUT. Don't bite your fingers off...

Hehe, my community message for the week. Kinda like what they have on Hitz.FM.

Except wayy cooler, no? :)

How To...

Blow your shoe!!

Haha. There's some randomness for you. Meh.

I'm bored. Bored bored bored boredddd.

It's ok, I know that boredom doesn't kill. Even though sometimes it really feels like it does.

I think I will try to go draw something in my journal (which has now become a little picture journal). Hey, I might even get good at it :p

Toodles!!

Your Land Is My Land???

I was just reading about Israel's attack on Gaza in the papers. And what hit me the most was the fact that these Palestinians who are living on the Gaza strip are having to bury their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and children. To them, death (or dare I say murder) has become a common occurrence in their lives. It almost seems as if the people who had been killed weren't even that important in the first place, their lives insignificant.

It's so easy for us to sit in the comfort and safety of our homes, read the papers, watch the news, and tut and shake our heads at the horrific audacity that is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And as much as I try to, I can't picture what it must be like for the people in the midst of the whole mess. I'm not even sure I want to. It must be horrible.

The worst part is, I don't see an end to this conflict... I just don't see how it is possible to settle something that stems from hatred that has been cultivated for centuries :( Maybe if the whole of Israel and Palestine upped themselves and resettled in Siberia or something (but as far away from each other as possible) then the war will end.

Of Mistake-ridden Horoscopes, Wheatgrass Shots and Ice Cream Fondues...

Cancer: You've been working hard! Take satisfaction in that, even if no one else seems to notice!

That's what my Facebook Horoscopes application says about me for today...
o_O

???

Yeh... So maybe it took a lot of hard work to convince myself to drink the vile smelling (but not that bad tasting) wheatgrass shots that Annabel, Harinderpal, Lea and I decided to try. But that was it! Maybe driving is considered hard work too...

Actually, I think having a wheatgrass shot is for lazy people... Apparently, it's equivalent to 1kg of fruits and veges (in terms of antioxidant content). So I took the shortcut, no?

1st picture: The juice place dude juicing the wheatgrass... Look for the wheatgrass poo that's coming out of the end of the juicer. Hehe.
2nd picture: A wheatgrass shot with an orange wedge to take the bitterness away. (Compare with tequila shot and lemon wedge... :p). I forgot to rotate the picture, so hah! too bad for you :)

And then, to wash off the yuckiness (I thought it wasn't too bad...) of the wheatgrass shots, we had an ice cream fondue at the Baskin Robbins cafe :)

Hope for the best but expect the worst.

It's what I try to do as much as possible to minimise the risk of disappointment. But just like everything else, it's easier said than done.

Still, I try.
Perhaps with enough practice I'll get good at it?

Happy New Yearrrr :)

So it's finally 2009!
This blog is officially ONE year old!

I really wanted to write a new year's post yesterday on new year's day BUT I was half a zombie the whole day coz I didn't sleep properly the night before.

Anywayy, I just need to say that I'm hopeful that this new year will be a good one. Better than last year. Hope is a nice feeling :) But let's see how it goes...

Sooo... On to my new year's resolution. I think I'm still discovering who I am and this blog really helped me shape my identity and be proud of the person that I am so I figured that a natural progression from blogging (I'll still keep this blog going of course!) is journal writing. Except it's my private journal in a proper book that no one else can read. Hehe :) I've realised that writing is a great way to reflect and somehow helps to put things in perspective. So I'm excited to see how this journal thing goes.

That's all for now, I guess.
Oh and, Happy New Year!! :)
